Believe it or not I enjoy making shorts over skirts! yes skirts are easier to make but I really like shorts & not many people make them.
Last weekend was the 2 day Mummy Tree Markets. While I sold a lot, the cost of the fee's of having a stall there was a bit of a downer! A little expensive I thought seeing they didn't even mention stall names - even on facebook!
I mostly sold tops & shorts which with that & nearly every second person looking at my stall saying "Yeah! I make & sell hair clips too on facebook" has made me think I might just focus on the shorts & tops only.
*IT'S A SIGN* I then applied for the Upper Markets and was told NO! as there were too many hair clips stalls already & YES if I could leave the hair clips at home and just sell the clothes. So I said OK :)
So feeling a little naked without cute little things on my table I have something new I am making AND just in time for mothers day too!

Life without a limb
6 days ago we packed up and went on a little weekend trip to a little country town. I didn't take a computer but could still access email & facebook (very limited) on my phone.
The weather was miserable and rained most of the time so I had the chance to check my phone often.
Weekend was coming to an end and I was excited to be coming home so I could check my business page Starbelly77 on facebook properly as I only get status updates on my phone :(
After a long drive home I unpacked the car, fed, bathed & to bed the kids. I then sat down to the computer with a coffee to catch up on all the goss! After the computer started up it was making horrible noises and was struggling, after about 10 minutes it crashed. YEP the hard drive was knackered. Maybe it broke from not being used the past 3 days I thought LOL
Anyway it took another 3 days before pay day to buy another and I swear I had anxiety attacks during that time but here I am today with a fixed computer trying to sort out all the programs etc.
I am yet to try and see if we can save the photos off the broken hard drive, I am not getting my hopes up but I am thankful we backed up 6 weeks ago.
Anyway this past week has made me realize I cannot live without a computer. It's just like a limb

Market Day
Today was market day and as usual I was too excited to sleep. Setting up at 8:30 in the morning and the sweat was dripping off me but I just thought it was just me stressing about getting set up on time, little did I know it was about to become a scorcher of a day.
I had so many friends and family come to visit which was great - that they were showing their support :)
My girls Uncle (Tray) bought them a Zooba Cow bouncer which they love, I was going to buy them one at the Butterfly Tree Markets but I didn't have enough money at the time.
By 1 o'clock the markets had no customers & I had a killer of a headache happening & Poppy decided that it was just too hot to continue, so we got to pack up early.
Just walked into my air conditioned house and it felt like heaven. Thermometer reads 38deg outside so i'm glad to be home.
I bought my 1st MCL (modern cloth nappy) so we will see how it goes before I buy another. The lady was lovely who I bought it off. She said I could have the scraps off her material cut offs so I might make some YoYo's out of them.
Well i'm off to prepare dinner so I will keep my 1st Blog short & sweet.
Hope to do this again
